About the Leiden canal tour
Leiden has more than 21 km of canals. The tour explores these in an electric boat at a relaxed and leisurely pace, silent and polution-free! From the lower position on the boat, you will get another perspective on Leiden, as well as great and unusual photo opportunities.

The photography experience
The canal boat gives you a great opportunity to photograph the city from a different perspective. The numerous attractive old bridges provide a perfect frame or reveal for the scene beyond.
You are much closer to the water so that the ripple patterns and reflections are more intimate.
You can see and photograph the picturesque old sailing barges from a lower angle.
And the silent electric motor aloows you to sneak up close to the many waterbirds which frequent the waterways.

You may also pay at the beginning of the trek, but please note as places are limited, priority will be given to those who have pre-paid
Bad weather
But it seldom rains the for whole day. If the rain is torrential the workshop will be cancelled, but if it is not heavy the tour will go on regardless.
Photographers are hardy folks, and stormy skies and wet pavements present some of the most exciting photo opportunities!
